glowing text effect

If you want glowing text like so...



Firstly type sort of text.



Now make sure to not click off your text layer! For newer PhotoShop users go to your layer setting then click the far right drop down area and click on outer glow. Make sure your settings match mine like shown in the picture below.



For older PhotoShop Users i think you can find these settings by right-clicking on your layer and select Blending Options. (but im not sure) Or perhaps go to Layer » Layer Settings.



Easy enough? Now your result should look like this
